Here’s our answer:

Selecting plants for our service has been a super fun journey over the years ~ there are sooo many great options and we can literally spend hours perusing nurseries and plant shops (maybe youβ€˜re the same?haha).

These days we focus on offering plants that are reasonably easy-care and well suited to Perth's climate as well as the typical home/office environment.

The factors that we consider when choosing plants are:

  • appearance or 'wow' factor

  • maintenance requirements

  • suitability for the average (non- nursery/greenhouse) indoor space

  • longevity

  • symbolism in terms of gifting/plants/flowers/Feng Shui.

A bit of background: I (Lara) have always been passionate about plants and flowers. Before starting this business I worked as a florist for 11 years. Over the years I've observed which plants that survive long term in various environments, from nurseries to friends' and family members' homes, offices, and of course my own indoor and outdoor garden.

The plants on the website are mostly chosen for their ability to thrive with basic care- this makes it fair on both the sender and recipient. We always include general plant care tips to help recipients keep their plants happy long term too.

We are really enjoying delivering plants and gifts all over Perth this Baarramirri/summer - although it’s super hot and there’s heavy traffic these days, there’s always the cool air con in the car, good tunes, Xmas treats and iced coffee to keep us pumped and focused on the job!
